Its an electronic world we live in and how on earth did we ever survive without the iPhone. Well I am nearly 60 and have worked in IT for 30 years so I remember the IBM PC with its green mono screen, 128K (yep 128,000) of RAM and a whopping 10 MB hard drive. It was a beast but in its day … we loved it :)

30 Years on we have gone up a gear or two -  the advances have truly been sensational and the world is now a village of many nationalities and cultures. Some are a tad more advanced than others but we have issues that need resolution from real leaders who want to stand up and make a difference. What are those issues …. an ever increasing population ??… food and resources that are finite ??……. climate change versus economic rationale ?? ………. poverty?? ….. health ?? ….. division of wealth ……

Its easy to sit here and write about but how do we really achieve something?   We are all passionate about something in our lives so lets think about how to make our place a better place.  If I was a wealthy man and I am far from that I would be a generous soul - perhaps thats why I am not wealthy. Its not about being wealthy but about how YOU COULD MAKE a difference with your wealth rather than getting fat in your ferrari. Well what would I do with a lazy 10 Mil. I would look for people like Professor Fred Hollows who used his skills to give so many so much - the ability so see again. I would seek out good people who would do great things and encourage them to do so. I would have a vision of changing people’s life through simple programs that allowed those people to be great at what they are already good at.

I’d smile
