The small business ethos of hard work can easily and through no fault of its own, be eaten away at by the major corporations need to charge for everything with a pulse. I just dont get it at times. Small business pays for the profits of big business yet because we small business owners typically have small businesses as clients we can only TRY to pass on those fees. Lets face it … we cant really so that makes survival very tough indeed. 

We need to take charge of the greed. We need to make those businesses of substance more accountable. I am sadly of the conclusion that money is all we care about. We all should have free health care, free education and equal opportunity no matter how cashed up we are. Can you imagine just how many poverty stricken people ther are with a great intellect that could do so much for the world yet never get a chance? All they need is a chance. Yep … a good chance to make it happen. How do we do that?

Lets get real guys its bullshit - pure unadulterated recycled grass. The way to get a few bucks is a pretty simple story to tell and summed up in three words - WORK FOR IT. Some of us are employers and some are employees and some of us cant work for reasons of their own. One of the things I will always remember is this -

As a lad of about 16 and in high school I was in the city walking to my bus and an old guy a bit like a tramp asked me for a smoke. I said i did not smoke but the sadness in his eyes jigged something inside me so I went into a shop and bought him a packet of cigarettes. I gave them to him and tears welled up in his eyes. I could not understand how something so trivial could bring out such emotion. I AM 60 AND HAVE NEVER FORGOTTEN HOW GOOD THAT MADE ME FEEL.

FORGET THE MONEY !!! Do something kind for someone everyday and you will be rewarded

WHY - so the business could benefit from the “marketing” - you know …. the pizza place with photographs of the owner and stars adorning the wall

So what happens when you need the cash and you are a battler? NOT MUCH I would imagine so

2 - WHY DO banks put interest rates up OVER the Reserve Bank’s increases …… easy …… GREED

3 - WHY DO Telstra charge us a FEE to pay our account at the post office …… easy …… GREED

4 - WHAT CEO is worth more than $500,000 a year …. I can name a couple BUT bloody hell if I took over as CEO of the NAB it would not make one iota of difference to the share price.

Now as a small business person how could I say to my customers that it costs $2 to pay your account and if you pay it on Thursday it will be $2.35 because I reckon you have a bit extra cash in your pocket so you wont mind spending the extra. How do we fix these pricks that rip us off everyday. BANK FEES !!!!! Lets ALL get them back and hope the total pay out exceeds 10 Billion
